The bitterly cold winter days are officially here, judging by the snow on the youngest northeast coast dumped on New England and the falling temperatures along the east coast. But there is one way Biglaw employees can keep warm – by counting all the money that is thrown on them! That's right, it's bonus season and we're happy to announce that another biglaw company has joined the bonus party.
On Friday Allen & Overy announced year-end bonuses that correspond to the current market price. The bonus scale is as follows (the full memo is on the next page):
2020 Class: $ 15,000 (pro-rata)
2019 Class: $ 15,000
Class of 2018: $ 25,000
2017 Class: $ 50,000
Class of 2016: $ 65,000
2015 Class: $ 80,000
2014 Class: $ 90,000
2013 Class: $ 100,000
2012 Class: $ 100,000
Magic Circle also signals that they are playing with the Biglaw Ball elite. This was a trend at biglaw firms in the fall special bonuses to be paid in recognition from Associated“Hard work during the pandemic. Some, of course, um Cravath decided to wait on special autumn bonuses. But now A&O has joined the companies that are now distributing the special bonuses – better late than never! These special bonuses range from $ 7,500 to $ 40,000 depending on the class year and are in addition to the year-end bonus numbers. So yes, Biglaw employees must be very grateful! As a tipster for the company notes:
Employees are thrilled and relieved that the company's commitment to expanding into the U.S. market is reflected in its appreciation for employee contribution.
All of the company's bonuses will be paid out on January 15, 2021.
As always, we depend on you when it comes to bonus messages from other companies. As soon as your company's bonus memo is published, please send it to us by e-mail (subject: "(Company name) Bonus") or send us an SMS (646-820-8477). Please attach the memo if available.
